threekidsavatar.jpg I'm a stay-at-home mother to my three (sometimes) wonderful children. They are usually with me, since I homeschool them. We enjoy going into the GSMNP, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and playing in nature. Occasionally, you can catch the hubby and kids fishing in the river. • 100 Things about ME

Cookie Swap: Chocolate Novaks

This is an all year cookie at my house. I have to make a double batch of these, just to keep them around for more than two days. I have decided this year to have the kids help make some cookies for family and friends. This is definitely going to be one of those special ones.

Quick and easy to make, Delicious to eat, And their no bake. That’s a little saying that we do when we are making them. Corny, huh?

2 cups of sugar

1 stick of butter

1/2 cups of milk

4 tablespoons of cocoa

3 cups of oatmeal ( I get the quick oats.)

2/3 cups of peanut butter ( chunky makes it special)

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Combine the sugar and cocoa in a heavy pot. Add the milk and margarine. Bring to a full-rolling boil over med-high heat for one minute. Remove from heat. Add the rest of the ingredients. Stir well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool in fridge until set.

NOTE: Do not go over a minute and 30 seconds. It will get way to hard to work with. Trust me!

I hope you all enjoy. Can’t wait for all the recipes to roll in.

—Picture not taken by me.  I need to make some of these and take some pictures of my own.—
