Positive Thinking 103

I was going to name this letterbox ‘Positive Thinking 101’, but my DS2 told me to change it to 103.

I needed to check out a copy of 1984 for my DS1 to read for class. Of course I needed it ASAP, so I headed to another branch of our library. I had only seen this one in passing, so I knew where it was. I failed to check the operating hours online when I noticed they had the book. I only ASSUMED they had the same hours as the main branch. Boy, was I wrong!!

We got there around 9:00 am. I had DS1 hop out and note the opening time. He told me it was 10:00. OK. No problem. We’ll just mosey around and see what’s near us. I drove down the little road the driveway for the library is on. There is an Optimist’s Club right behind it. After that….. there is a playground/park there. I never knew that was there. I guess it has only been there a year or two. The kids loved the equipment. The trees all around had changed and looked gorgeous. I thought I had forgot my camera at home so I was a little sad.

Well, it was around 9:50 so I sent the kids to the restroom. <Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom,….that is my motto>. We get back in the truck and head down the hill to the library. Which is STILL closed, because they open at 10:30 not 10:00. This time we just stayed parked and walked back up the hill. ….with the camera that WAS in my purse. Now, I have all these wonderful pictures to show off. 🙂

Here the kids are just playing around…..

The last one of the kids is near the letterbox….<hint, hint.

Back to the letterboxing. While we were walking around, the kids had a grand idea of making a letterbox to plant somewhere in there. Not too many places were good spots. We did manage to find a spot SOMEWHERE. I won’t reveal where.

Good luck!!!! Is your glass half full or half empty?

  1. It’s always fun to find a new-to-you park for the kids. What fun.
